Initial Training, Refresher Training, and Teammate Commitment
Through training implementation and follow up, Shephard's training systems have assisted our clients in a drastic reduction in near misses and workplace incidents. We found that incidents declined in the first year of training. Without refresher training in succeeding years, complacency settles in, commitments shift, and incidents increase. Those clients that stood firm on their commitment with follow-up training programs and maintained management and employee involvement (Team Concept) lowered their incident rates. The old cliche of "once trained, always trained" is old school.
