SITE, EQUIPMENT,TASK SPECIFIC:
Site, equipment, and the task: what else do we need to add to the training program? For one thing, if the training materials are not structured, the information can be lost in the shuffle. Most companies want to provide quality training for their operators. A truly structured training program will do just that. Adding the task, equipment, and required safety information into a training program is difficult and time consuming.
Shephard's has developed the most comprehensive operator training programs for all types of cranes. Our programs are designed to mold into any operation. The format and content will assist in pointing out conditions and safety issues that may very well be overlooked by company personnel.
Whether construction or an industrial site, Shephard's programs are uniquely designed, but not limited to:
Help develop and implement new safety standards.
Provide the tools and information to help everyone involved with the crane's operation.
Help ensure a competent understanding of the equipment and it's use.
Convey the importance of safety on the job, compliance to safe job procedures, maintaining equipment, completing a comprehensive inspection, and more.
Build a strong communication link within the organization.
Crane models, crane controls and functions, load charts, boom angles, boom extension, crane setup, material weights, load centers, center of gravity, crane use, operating techniques, the operating arena (site), electrical hazards, and more.
These programs are designed to train crane operators the "How To." What makes the difference is the real world application Shephard's has designed into our training materials, methods, and concepts.
The courses require five (5) full days to complete, because each operator must successfully perform (real world) functions with the crane. We do not hand out certification cards, the operators earn them. Interested, but not sure, E-mail, or give us a call, ask for Jim!
Committed to supplying quality operator training programs.
We don't have crane training programs, we have crane operator and safety training programs. The difference is your trained operators.
